Gloucester and Langley Kennel Clubs To Host The Virginia Memorial Day Cluster All-Breed Dog Show May 23-26, 2008 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center--Event including conformation, obedience trials, rally, dog related health clinics, expected to draw over 4,000 spectators--
On May 23-26, 2008, the Hampton Roads Convention Center will welcome over 2,000 canine friends to The Virginia Memorial Day Cluster. Hosted by the Gloucester and Langley Kennel Clubs, in conjunction with the Merrimac Dog Training Club, this highly anticipated annual event is expecting to draw over 4,000 spectators within a four day period, utilizing all three of the convention center’s exhibit halls (108,000 square-feet total!).

The Hampton Convention & Visitor Bureau and Sports Hampton are pleased to announce the release of the brand new sports facility guide, an 18-page publication featuring in-depth information on the city’s recreational facilities. Fresh off the presses, the guide will be used as a means to market the city of Hampton as a “sports destination” to meeting planners across the country.

The Hampton Convention & Visitor Bureau is pleased to announce the formation of Sports Hampton, a new sales and marketing initiative created specifically as an avenue for promoting Hampton as a “sports destination”. Spearheaded by Kris Smith, group sales manager, and Corey Peterson, group services manager, the team will use their vast athletic knowledge to market to planners across the country.

Big-Time Cheerleading and Dance is coming to Hampton, VA. On February 9, 2008, JAMfest Cheer and Dance Events will host The Magic JAM at the Hampton University Convocation Center. Nearly 1,500 cheerleaders and dancers will “take the stage” during this awesome event.

On February 2, 2008 cheerleading competitors from across the state with gather at the Hampton Roads Convention Center for the Hampton Unlimited Championship. Produced by Spirit Unlimited, one of the top cheerleading organizations in the country, the Hampton competition is expected to draw over 300 participants.
